Houston Endowment Headquarters International Design Competition

Finalists’ Gallery

The new Houston Endowment Headquarters will allow the foundation to relocate from its current offices in the city’s business district and embed itself within the community.

This US$20 million initiative will give the philanthropy an appealing, welcoming base from which to work, bringing people from public, private, non-profit and philanthropic sectors together.

The 40,000 sq ft building will provide dedicated space for the Endowment’s team and community partners, including healthy workspaces, accessible meeting spaces and flexible and innovative engagement facilities.

The first stage of the competition, which launched in June 2019, was entered by 121 teams comprising 354 individual firms.

Four teams were shortlisted and asked to develop design concepts for the new Headquarters. In November 2019, the team led by Kevin Daly Architects and PRODUCTORA was announced as the winner.

The design concepts produced by the finalist teams can now be viewed below, along with a short description by each team.
